Tobii Technology receives the Optronic Award 2007

Stockholm, Sweden – October 24, 2008 – The trade industry organization, Swedeoptronics, has awarded Tobii with the Optronic Award 2007.

Tobii receives the award for its groundbreaking eye tracking technology, which has been successfully launched to the global market in a number of different applications with good profitability.

The Jury’s motivation was: “Tobii is a world leader within its industry – eye tracking and eye control. Eye tracking measures the position of the eye and calculates where the eye is looking. This can be used to control different processes (eye control). The main application assists disabled people in controlling a computer, but the technology is also used for testing of marketing and media, in gaming, and in automotive applications During 2007, Tobii’s sales increased by more than 70%. The company has had strong growth with good profitability.“
