Tobii Technologys John Elvesjö receives prestigious award

Stockholm, Sweden – March 13 2008 – John Elvesjö, VP and Co-founder of eye tracking company Tobii Technology, yesterday received the prestigious award “IT renewer of the year” at the Human Resource Gala 2008 (Kompetensgalan). 

“I am very proud to be recognized with this award. It proves that Tobii’s innovative eye tracking technology adds substantial values and really makes a difference for both companies and people, not the least in the field of assistive technology”, says John Elvesjö, Executive Vice President, Tobii Technology Group.

The Jury’s motivation was: “The price is awarded to John Elvesjö. His eye control products simplify everyday life for both people with special needs as well as researchers in academics and web-based media. Tobii has, thanks to new technology and many applications, succeeded in becoming world leaders in eye tracking”.

The purpose of the award is to recognize a person that has used IT or telecommunications in an exemplary way to create smarter or more effective ways of working. The Human Resource Gala is a yearly event and special theme this year was how companies can contribute and make a difference to society. The daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet and the magazine Chef are two of the organizers.
