New features in Tobii Studio 1.2

Tobii Studio 1.2 contains a number of new features, of which a few highlights are summarized below.

AOIs overlay in visualization tools It is now possible to show Areas Of Interests on top of a heatmap or gazeplot. This will make it easier to visualize intensity of attention on specific areas of a stimulus, and allows for quicker reporting.

Normalized AOI statistics

There is now an option to select whether data for participants that have not looked at an AOI, i.e. with no fixation within an AOI, should be included in the statistics for that AOI.

Replay speed in the bee swarm The Bee Swarm can be seen as a replay of more than one test participant and visualizes the density distribution over time. The gaze overlay of all participants is displayed on top of selected media and is played in real time. The fixation of each participant is illustrated with a dot. It is now possible to adjust the replay speed and size of the gaze overlay. This makes it easier to interpret the distribution of visual attention over time.

Visualizations of mouse clicks

Mouse clicks can now be visualized in the Replay tool to drive audience attention. It was already implemented in Gaze Plots and Heatmaps to support the visualization of the workflow.

Gaze overlay option

It is now possible to hide the gaze overlay in the Replay tool and Studio Logger for instances where the gaze overlay is considered distracting for observer or audience.

Fixation tool tips in gaze plot A tool tip is now shown when the mouse cursor rests on top of a fixation in the Gaze Plot tool. The tool tip displays data about the fixation such as duration, fixation number, timestamp, and position in the image for quick pre analysis.
