The Tobii S32 is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device that plays pre-recorded messages, activated simply by touch. The Tobii S32 is available in two different models, Touch and Scan*.

The Tobii S32 Touch is targeted specifically towards individuals who have the use of their hands. The Tobii S32 Scan is a switch/scan model, made for individuals who have difficulty using their hands, who instead use switches to make their choice in the grids or scenes.

The Tobii S32 stores up to 192 Cards at the same time and has a memory card that holds over 60 hours of high quality sound. With such a large recording capacity, you have the space to store words and phrases, funny moments, stories, personal information or even entire music CDs.

• You will save time since you don’t need to overwrite activities that you have to recreate later.
• Almost unlimited resources when you are outdoors for a day.

The built in bar code reader keeps track of all the 192 different levels and page sets, allowing you to focus on communication.

With its very clever electronics design and smart power management the S32 uses energy sparingly.

The S32 runs on four standard 1.5 V AA batteries that can easily be replaced or recharged (if using rechargeable 1.5 V AAs) when needed.

Depending on usage, the battery manufacturer and quality, the batteries can last for several months or more, not days!

Built for an active lifestyle

With a durabl e chassis and impact absorbing rubber side covers, the Tobii S32 reliably withstands active daily use. The rubber side covers not only protect the device but also allow you to personalize it; included in the S32 package are four differently colored side covers.

Weighing in at less than two pounds (862 g), the Tobii S32 is easy to carry anywhere. The carrying strap allows the S32 to be carried or worn in different ways, making it instantly ready for use.

Cleaning is easy and can be done with a damp cloth or even with alcohol. This makes it ideal for use in a hospital environment or in a school, for example, where there could be multiple users sharing a device.

Great sound that people will hear

The durable speaker produces crisp, clear, high resonance sound, allowing your voice  to be heard over a variety of background noises, such as outside on the playground or in many other similarly noisy environments.

The user can listen to auditory prompts, through the headphones, before a message or sound is played back aloud to make sure that the message is correct.
 

Works in perfect unison with Tobii SymbolMate

The Tobii S32 works seamlessly with Tobii SymbolMate , a desktop application for creating, editing and managing page sets, sounds and messages on one or more Tobii S32 devices.

• Create, edit, manage and print communication pages 
• Centrally manage settings and contents on one or more S32s, perfect for classroom environments 
• Record and transfer audio 
• Key Clustering makes it easy to create visual scenes
• Function Queuing when activated, allows you to queue up key presses so that they play sequentially

Control the TV, toys and lights with the environmental control unit (ECU)

The Tobii S32 is equipped with a brand new TiirDA™ Enhanced IR circuit so that it  can also be used as an environmental control unit (ECU) to control lights, small appliances, adapted toys, televisions, VCRs, or DVDs.  

The TiirDA™ Enhanced IR handles the majority of IR signals on the market. 

Awaken interest in communication

The Tobii S32 allows you to activate toys that have a “toy interface”, and using TiirDA™ Enhanced IR, toys with IR ports of their own can be controlled. This gives child-users the chance to participate and play with others, or on their own.

Combination Keys*

Combination Keys allow you to record, or download, more than one audio file onto a single key. Moreover, the feature allows you use a second key, in combination with the first, to dictate which of the recordings you wish to play back from the original key.

The Combination Keys feature is a great tool to improve language training. Use Combination Keys to express, for example, the same word with different intonations or even in different languages.
