Tobii Communicator: Communication Software Training

The Tobii C-Series is a family of 3 innovative and powerful dynamic display AAC/SGD systems. These devices also offer the widest range of access methods available. When paired with the Tobii Communicator 4 software, it is possible to meet the needs of everyone from pre-school to adults. This program will provide information and hands on training using the Tobii Communicator 4 software. You will also get to explore ready-made page sets Sono Scribe, Sono Primo, Sono Key, Sono Lexis and It will include a free demo copy of Tobii Communicator 4 software that participants can take home with them to explore.
Learning objectives:
- Participants will learn how to use pre-made communication and educational page sets built in to the Tobii Communicator 4 software
- They will learn how to edit or modify activities to suit individual student needs which can be used in the classroom
- They will learn how to change settings to allow the C Series device and Communicator 4 software to adapt to different user needs, including direct select, scanning, wheelchair control interface, head pointing and eye gaze
Target Audience: Speech language pathologists, teachers, assistive technology support staff, related service professionals (OT/PT)
