Record a wide range of different eye tracking and other data

Tobii Studio integrates recording of eye tracking data and a wide range of other data, such as stimuli presentation and subject behavior, and automatically synchronizes them in one file. As a result, it provides a holistic view of behavior in a single solution.  

  • Records eye gaze position, eye position, distance between eye tracker and the eye, and pupil size, and provides a timestamp for each data point together with a validity code 
  • Tobii Studio also records stimuli, screen content, web pages, user camera video, microphone sound, keystrokes, mouse clicks, manually logged events, questionnaire responses, scene camera, external video input and timestamps  
  • Web recording feature captures full-length static images of web pages and automatically compensates for scrolling and page transitions1 
  • Timestamps ensure good data synchronization, including stimuli, events, user camera and external triggers2

Support for Retrospective Think Aloud (RTA)

Tobii Studio is the first solution to feature full support for the RTA evaluation method, using gaze data as a memory cue during post-task or post-interview sessions.   

  • The RTA tool allows you to conduct and record an RTA interview while showing a playback of the original recording (with or without gaze data), visualizations or any other media to the subject
  • Recording of comments, facial expressions and mouse movements
  • RTA recordings can later be reviewed and exported as movies.

RTA is a commonly used method in usability studies, providing a deeper insight into user experiences. It is particularly useful in helping to identify usability problems.
