Innovation is at the heart of our business and one of Tobii’s greatest assets is our world leading R&D team. It comprises some of the world’s leading experts in image processing, mathematics, programming and, of course, eye tracking. If you want to solve difficult problems, design meaningful products and know that you're better than most in your field, we may have just the job for you!

Hello Student,

Below you find Tobii student projects, suitable for master thesis (if bachelor is not specified).

Do you find a project you are interested in? Please click the apply-button! Your application has to contain your CV, personal letter and transcript, otherwise it will not be considered. If possible, please also submit a link to your previous work (published papers, link to projects or coding etc). Do not forget to specify what project you are interested in! If you don't find a project that suits your education, you can apply through our open application ad.

Happy reading!

1. Eye movement classification for wearable eye trackers

This thesis work will investigate how existing eye movement classification algorithms for remote eye trackers can be modified to better accomodate for the characteristics in wearable eye tracker data. This includes using and adopting solutions for head rotation compensation. It could potentially also involve using data from the existing Tobii Pro Real World Mapping™ analysis. The thesis will result in a prototype algorithm implementation as well as tools for evaluating the performance of the developed algorithms.

This project aims at master students in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering, with strong background in algorithms and applied mathematics. Excellent MATLAB programming skills is a must, proficiency in C# is meriting.

Please note! The project is aimed at two students working together and we will only be able to consider students applying together. Please state in your personal letter who you are applying with.
