Combine eye tracking with other research methods

Tobii eye tracking can easily be integrated into your existing services. Use eye tracking successfully in combination with think aloud, observations, interviews and other research methods.

One method commonly used together with eye tracking is retrospective think-aloud. When a task is completed a video sequence is shown to the user with an overlay of their eye movements, supporting the user in verbalizing his or her experiences and thoughts retrospectively. In this way users can interact with an interface without being distracted by the cognitive load they experience during traditional think-aloud tests.

Users can focus more on the task at hand, which provide a more valid test situation. Significantly higher task-completion rates have been observed than when using the conventional think-aloud method.
