Tobii Pro releases emotion analysis capability for commercial research

Tobii Pro has released a new emotion analysis capability for their self-service online platform Sticky by Tobii Pro – which combines online survey questions with webcam eye tracking, making advanced quantitative research simple. The emotion analysis can automatically code and detect expressions of opt-in participants from images, webpages and videos and returns the probability of universal emotions such as anger, fear, joy and surprise.

By combining webcam eye tracking with emotional analysis, the research results not only show what and where the participants look but also what emotions they express at the same time. This way brands get accurate knowledge if the elements in their media perform as intended and what might need changing.
