The maximum text length threshold in in-vehicle information system
Visual distraction caused by in-vehicle information system (IVIS) poses a serious threat to driving safety. This study aims to determine the maximum safe text length thresholds for short and long Chinese texts displayed on central control display, based on the Visual-Manual NHTSA Driver Distraction Guidelines.
