Workshop details

Join our online workshop on creating experimental eye tracking designs in the Tobii Pro Lab Advanced Screen Project (ASP), led by our research scientist, Katrina Connell, Ph.D.

Katrina will walk you through creating an experiment that:

  • Presents a fixation cross and then two images side by side on each trial.
  • Uses gaze to the fixation cross to advance on to the trial.
  • Controls image positions and sizes from a design table.
  • Randomizes trial presentation order.

You’ll learn about the Advanced Screen Project experiment structure, stimulus templates, media types and containers, and binding properties to a design table. Analysis in the Advanced Screen Project will also be covered following the design portion.

What will I need?

Ideally, you will have access to Tobii Pro Lab so you can follow along and build the experiment yourself. We believe in learning-by-doing, so in this workshop we’ll provide materials and guide you to create your own project.

You can download the free version of the software.

You are, of course, welcome to come and simply watch the workshop if you prefer.

This workshop also assumes basic experience with the Tobii Pro Lab software. If you have not worked with the software, we recommend you complete the Introduction to Tobii Pro Lab course on Tobii Academy.
