At InCabin, Phoenix, we will demo Tobii DMS, our driver monitoring solution that leverages over two decades of sensor-based technology development. If you are attending the event, drop by our booth, and try out our solution to see how you can move the camera to best fit your vehicle design.

Our DMS addresses the challenges of integration, leveraging core signals to maintain an understanding of driver state — determining levels of distraction, drowsiness, and other risk behaviors.

Health and impairment detection through cognitive states monitoring — development and validation challenges

Speaker: Clémentine François, Biomedical Engineering Manager, Tobii

Driver impairment is a growing concern for the automotive industry. In this talk we will cover how to develop solutions to detect health and impairment of drivers by monitoring physiological and cognitive states such as cognitive load and stress. We will discuss the challenges of developing and validating such solutions, covering what data to use, what sensors, and how to determine ground truth. We will also describe relevant use cases focusing on safety, wellbeing, and user experience.

What is the lowest cost camera for DMS?

Speaker: Per Fogelström, Principal System Architect, Tobii

We frequently get asked this question. What is the lowest possible camera specification for DMS? In this talk we will explore the answer by presenting relevant metrics and how they deliver a given level of performance as well as results from performance analysis showing how image-quality degrades.
