Tobii Autosense is redefining interior sensing from a compliance function into a core enabler of automated driving. Our interior sensing solutions are already deployed at production scale in more than one million vehicles, demonstrating that high-performance DMS/OMS can be achieved through scalable and cost-efficient architectures, from single-camera systems to more advanced multi-sensor configurations. As we move from L2 to L3, the next challenge is expanding beyond driver monitoring to cover but also ensure reliable takeover readiness in real-world conditions. This requires tighter integration between interior sensing and ADAS systems, combining driver state with real-time driving context. This integration unlocks two critical capabilities: improved robustness in edge cases, which is essential for safe and predictable takeovers, and the foundation for new in-cabin features that extend beyond traditional safety applications. The result is a shift from passive monitoring to adaptive, system-level approach to driver understanding, designed to scale with the next generation of automated driving.

Speakers
Carmen leads Tobii Autosense Sales and Marketing, driving the global strategy for automotive interior sensing solutions. With a strong foundation in both engineering and business, she has built her career across product development, program leadership, and customer-facing roles. Prior to her current position, she led program management and PMO functions and served as project lead on multiple imaging and automotive initiatives, gaining deep insight into both technology and customer needs. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Technology, a Master’s degree in Image Processing, and a PhD in Signal Processing for Synthetic Aperture Radar from the Politehnica University of Bucharest. Earlier in her career, she contributed to several Romanian and European research projects, working in collaboration with leading institutions, including European and German Space Agencies, on advanced imaging and signal processing technologies. Today, she brings this combined technical and commercial perspective to shaping the future of in-cabin sensing, from production-ready solutions to next-generation features.
An accomplished technology professional with 10 years of experience in building successful imaging products, Bogdan's is the Director of Product Management at Tobii, driving innovation in the in-cabin sensing space for Tobii. His career began in engineering, and he has since worked at Xperi, leading the mobile imaging group and overseeing the development of innovative imaging products, reachingmillions of devices globally. Bogdan holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a Master's degree in Image Processing. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys street photography, motorcycle riding, and spending time on the mountain hiking, biking, or snowboarding.
Henrik leads the company’s strategic agenda, business planning, and partnership ecosystem to unlock new growth opportunities. With over six years at Tobii across product management and sales leadership roles in the UK, he brings a strong track record of driving innovation, aligning strategy with market needs, and turning emerging technologies into impactful commercial solutions.
