Speaker session

Eye tracking research and evaluation

Speaker: Shin Hashiro, Sales Manager, Product & Solution Division. Tobii

This session introduces how eye tracking can be used to measure cognitive load, and evaluate HMI, ADAS, and driver monitoring systems. Learn how gaining a deeper understanding of where people look and how they interpret visual information can inform smarter, data-driven decisions early in the design process.

One camera. One million vehicles: Single-camera interior sensing as the foundation for holistic sensing

Speaker: Kenji Ichimura, Sr. Director JP Sales, Tobii Autosense

Tobii Autosense is scaling interior sensing with a production-proven single-camera system that supports both driver and occupant features in one architecture. In this talk, we’ll share key deployment facts from vehicles on the road and explain why single-camera interior sensing can reduce integration complexity and system cost while meeting regulatory requirements and automotive-grade development expectations (including EU homologation and ASPICE Level 2). We’ll then look beyond the single camera: how it becomes the baseline for holistic sensing, connecting interior understanding with exterior (ADAS) context, and for sensor fusion that improves robustness and unlocks new levels of situational awareness. The result is a practical path toward L2+ driving and the next generation of software-defined vehicles.
