Tobii Pro Glasses 3 - wearable eye trackers
Tobii Pro Glasses 3

Real world. Real behavior. Real insight.

Designed for the real world, our third-generation wearable eye tracker allows you to conduct behavioral research in a wide range of settings.

Overview

Created for the real world

Tobii Pro Glasses 3 gives you the freedom to take your research further. The scene camera offers a wide field of view, while eye tracking technology integrated into the lenses creates an unobstructed view for the wearer.

Designed for real situations

Tinted IR blocking Protective Lenses deliver the durability needed to run studies outside or in more formidable real-world settings. Tobii Pro Glasses 3 are robust and compact enough to be worn under helmets and other protective gear.

Made for real behavior

Built to be unobtrusive to the wearer's field of view, Tobii Pro Glasses 3 handles natural head and body movement without sacrificing data quality. A discreet and lightweight design enhances the possibility for natural behavior.

Features

Tobii Pro Glasses 3 component parts

Product features:

  • 16 illuminators and 4 eye cameras integrated into scratch-resistant lenses, allowing for optimal positioning and providing an unobstructed view for the wearer
  • Scene camera with a wider field of view (106° H: 95°, V: 63°)
  • Additional protective lenses, both clear and tinted
  • Technology integrated into frames for a robust design and the ability to fit under headwear
  • Controller app capable of running on Android, Windows, and macOS. Available in English, Chinese, and Japanese.

What our wearable eye trackers deliver

  • Tracking of wider gaze angles for more comprehensive data on visual attention

  • Wide-angle scene camera allows recording gaze data over a large field of view

  • Patented 3D eye model combined with two cameras per eye guarantees very accurate gaze data

  • Slippage compensation technology and persistent calibration for consistent data throughout recordings

  • Accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer sensors differentiate head and eye movements

  • Successful tracking of a large percentage of the population regardless of eye color or shape

  • Withstands the elements and bright light thanks to protective lenses

  • Lightweight and robust designs ensure compatibility with protective headgear

  • The scene camera's increased field of view in Tobii Pro Glasses 3 makes a major difference when conducting wayfinding research, especially in an outdoor environment where, with a narrower field of view, we would lose track of the gaze data. The design of Pro Glasses 3 is very comfortable, making them unobtrusive to wear which is an important factor to collect unbiased insights.

Software for data collection and analysis

Control studies and watch gaze data in real-time for instant insights with the Tobii Pro Glasses 3 controller app. For analysis, you export the data into Tobii Pro Lab. The assisted mapping tool aggregates data from eye tracking videos to snapshots, so you can visualize the data or extract statistics faster. The software is tailored to satisfy the needs of wearable eye tracking research, including the aggregation, interpretation, and visualization of data.

Flexibility through our API

Tobii Pro Glasses 3 API allows you to build custom solutions and integrations. All data is accessible live through the API which uses standard protocols to make it easy to consume, for example, with video stream available over WebRTC and RTSP.

Synchronization

Combine eye tracking data with other biometric measurements, including EEG, NIRS, GSR, motion capture systems, respiration rate, and heart rate monitors. Tobii Pro Glasses 3 supports a range of synchronization methods, like TTL, TCP/IP, and NTP.
