Reducing mix-ups on pharmaceutical packaging line

In a pharmaceutical packaging line study, eye tracking was used to understand how operators visually inspected line-clearance areas where materials could become trapped and cause batch mix-ups. 

The gaze data helped reveal whether operators looked at designated “hot zones,” how inspection behavior varied between individuals, and where process or training improvements could reduce the risk of missed materials.
